Inner Connect: Mindful Art and Movement Sessions
A creative escape to help you tune into your emotions, blending guided movement with intuitive fluid art in a peaceful Jaipur setting.
I'm so excited to introduce this unique experience I've curated with my friend Surabhi, a dance movement therapist. We bring together movement and fluid art to give you a bigger canvas to express yourself, beyond just the paper.
This is what our 'Inner Connect' workshop looks like in action. We start with movement exercises to get in touch with our bodies and then channel that energy into creating expressive fluid art pieces on the lawn.
An invitation to feel your feelings through art and movement. This workshop is a unique oasis for your mind, body, and heart, combining therapeutic practices with the creative freedom of paint pouring.
About Inner Connect: Mindful Art & Movement
These sessions are a departure from my typical technical workshops. Co-hosted with dance movement therapist Surabhi, we spend the first hour using rhythmic movement to quiet the mind, so when you finally pick up a paint cup, it is an intuitive release rather than a calculated art project. You do not need a single ounce of artistic experience to join us.
Art is often treated as a product, something you finish and hang on a wall. In this cluster, I want to shift the focus back to the process.
Why Movement and Art?
Often, we carry stress in our bodies that our minds cannot articulate. By bringing in a dance movement therapist, we create a safe container where you can acknowledge those feelings before transferring them onto a canvas. This isn't a class where I critique your brushstrokes; it is a space to observe how your energy shifts from movement into the unpredictability of fluid acrylics.
The Experience
We host these sessions in open-air, nature-centric venues across Jaipur, like the beautiful spaces we’ve used at Sam. We keep the groups intimate—usually between 10 to 15 people—so the environment stays supportive and non-judgmental. We start with meditation and rhythmic exercises, followed by a free-flow painting session where you simply let the colours speak for you.
What to Expect
- Guidance: Dual facilitation by me (the artist) and Surabhi (the movement therapist).
- Setting: Outdoor, airy environments that allow you to breathe and reconnect.
- Takeaway: You leave with your own fluid art canvas and, hopefully, a lighter heart.
Whether you are an architect needing a break from strict lines or a parent looking for a mental reset, this is an invitation to be messy, be honest, and just be.
