When we plan your portrait design, I suggest picking a scene that holds personal meaning, like where you first met or a special dance move. Since capturing facial expressions requires deep focus, I usually sketch the layout on paper first before applying the henna. We need to finalize these details at least a week early to ensure every line comes out perfectly on your big day.
How I Create Your Story
Every pair of hands tells a different story. Whether you want a portrait of your partner, a scene from your proposal, or symbols representing your journey together, my goal is to make your mehndi a conversation starter. I use high-quality organic henna paste that ensures a deep, dark stain, so your portraits look vibrant even days after the event.
The Process
- Reference Selection: Share a clear photo of the couple or the scene you want to recreate.
- Design Sketching: I create a rough layout to confirm the positioning and composition, ensuring it fits comfortably from your palm to your elbow.
- Precision Application: On the day of your event, I apply the design using fine-tip cones for maximum detail, especially for facial features and intricate backgrounds like city skylines or palace motifs.
Care and Comfort
I believe mehndi is 'where art meets tradition'. To ensure you get the best results, I apply a lemon-sugar sealant (Nimbu-Cheeni) after the application. This helps the design dry steadily and promotes that rich, dark color you want for your wedding or engagement photos. Whether you visit my studio in Kandivali or need me to travel to your wedding venue across Mumbai or beyond, I ensure the same level of detail in every single stroke.
