I turn your unique love story into intricate henna art. From couple portraits and wedding dates to family memories, let's create a design that tells your story.
I love when a bride trusts me to bring her vision to life. This design features beautiful portraits of the bride and groom, along with traditional wedding ceremony elements woven into the forearm patterns.
Ending the year by doing what I love most: creating a full story on my bride's hands. This design includes detailed portraits, wedding rituals, and intricate patterns, a perfect summary of her journey to the big day.
A beautiful shot of the bride and groom showcasing their mehndi. Her hands tell their story with portraits, while his features minimalist traditional symbols. This is what a complete couple's package looks like.
A closer look at a detailed Radha Krishna portrait design. The shading and fine lines bring the divine couple to life, making it a centerpiece of this bride's spiritual and traditional mehndi.
This design was incredibly special. I had the honor of creating portraits of the client's mother and her Guru, with the sacred phrases 'Shri Gurubhyo Namah' and 'Matru Devo Bhava' written on the palms.
A fun and personal touch for the family. This design for the groom's sister proudly says 'Bhai Ki Shaadi' and includes the couple's initials, making her feel like a special part of the celebration.
Mehndi for the bride's squad. I created these matching yet unique designs for the bridesmaids, with custom text like 'Bride's Maid' and 'Nita's Girl' to celebrate their special bond with the bride.
A full bridal design telling a complete story. From the couple's portraits on the palms to the depiction of wedding rituals like the kalash and doli on the arms, every element is thoughtfully placed.
A happy wedding day moment. The bride and groom proudly show off their henna, a beautiful symbol of their union and the beginning of their new life together.
A compilation of some of my best and most loved designs. You can see the variety of work I do, from full bridal story mehndi to elegant patterns for the whole family.
About Your Story, My Canvas: Custom & Portrait Mehndi
When we plan your portrait mehndi, it is not just about drawing a face on your hand. I spend time understanding your specific wedding moments—like your Varmala scene or the venue skyline—to sketch them into the layout before applying a single drop of henna. This ensures every figure looks like you and your partner, rather than a generic illustration.
Getting a portrait mehndi design is a commitment of both time and trust. I focus on creating a narrative that flows from your fingertips to your elbows. We start with a consultation where we discuss the specific elements you want to include: your proposal scene, the wedding date, or even portraits of your family members or spiritual figures like Radha Krishna.
How I Create Your Story
- Design Consultation: We decide on the placement of portraits. I prefer to put main figures on the palms or the central forearm where they are most visible.
- Storytelling Elements: Beyond just faces, I incorporate symbols that matter to you. This could be the 'Varmala' moment, doli scenes, or initials hidden within the intricate mandala patterns.
- Organic Quality: Because portrait designs are heavy and take 6 to 8 hours to apply, you need henna that is safe. I use my own homemade, 100% organic cones. This ensures a deep, dark stain that lasts through your wedding week, which is vital when you have detailed art you want to show off.
Practical Advice for Brides
If you are planning to get a portrait design, please book your slot at least 3 weeks in advance. These designs require significant preparation and sketching time, not just the hours spent sitting for the application. My goal is to make sure your mehndi is not just a pattern, but a piece of art that you will look back on for years to come.
Kajal Mehendi Art
I am Kajal, and for me, mehndi is not just work; it is my junoon. I love diving into your love story to create something that is entirely your own, whether it is a portrait of you two or a special memory you want to carry on your hands.
