Creating a custom portrait piece is an intentional process that takes between 8 to 12 hours. We start with a pre-event consultation to storyboard your specific memories—from your proposal spot to the family figures you want to honor—ensuring the design is a true reflection of your unique journey.
My approach to portrait mehndi goes beyond traditional patterns. It starts with a conversation where we map out the chapters of your life together. Whether it is a replica of your venue's architecture, a sketch of your pets, or a depiction of your first date, I treat your skin as a canvas for these milestones.
For these custom pieces, we do not just pick a design. We build a storyboard. This is why I schedule a pre-event planning session. We look at the photos you want to replicate and decide how they flow across your arms, which figures go on the palm, and which scenes wrap around your forearms as a frame.
These designs are dense and detailed. A full-arm custom piece, extending to the biceps, requires patience. You will be seated for 8 to 12 hours, depending on the complexity of the portraits and the number of family figures included. I use 100% organic Sojat henna to ensure that after all this effort, the stain is deep and the details remain sharp.
