My Artistic Journey: From Stillness to Soulscape

Art for me is a dialogue—a way to translate deep emotion into touchable, sculptural form. This is a look into my evolution, from my early inspirations to the stories I build today.

Standing at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery was a milestone moment in my journey. In this clip, I share a piece of my story and my gratitude for everyone who has been a part of my artistic life.

Collaboration is where art can truly expand. This video introduces my work with Vibrant Technik on the 'Navarasa' collection, where we explored the nine core emotions of a woman through sculptural art.

About My Journey: From Stillness to Soulscape

Every piece I create begins with a specific emotion, which I build up in layers using professional texture paste and piping techniques. I make sure the work has rhythm and physical depth, creating art that you do not just look at, but feel.

My creative process is an exploration of the spaces between stillness and movement. When I start a project, whether it is a sculptural wall piece for a home or a collaboration like my 'Navarasa' series, I focus on the tactile experience. Using materials like high-quality texture paste, gold leaf, and often upcycled components, I build the piece up until it captures the 'Navarasa'—those nine core emotions of an Indian woman, such as courage or compassion.

This journey led me to exhibit my 'Awakening' series at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, a milestone that highlighted the connection between my internal dialogue and the final artwork. It is not about painting a perfect image. It is about the mess, the process, and the energy that remains on the canvas.

I also extend this process into workshops. Whether I am teaching teams to use art for stress relief or helping students use waste materials to build structures, I focus on the same principles: trust your instincts, get messy, and find your own flow. My studio in Breach Candy is the heart of this work, where we move beyond surface-level aesthetics to explore what art actually does for us—it connects, it grounds, and it helps us see things differently.
