My 11-Year Journey as an Artist
A peek behind the canvas and the 85+ walls I have painted over the last decade. It has been a messy, magical, and rewarding process.
This picture is from 11 years ago, at my very first exhibition stall in Bangalore. I had no idea then that this passion would turn into a career of painting over 85 walls for clients like OnePlus and Wipro.
A look back at my very first mural at a small cafe. If I could tell this girl that she would go on to paint 84 more walls and work with brands like Harley Davidson, she wouldn't have believed it.
A look back at the past year. It was filled with so many firsts, from launching new products and growing my team to getting engaged and moving cities. I'm so grateful for this journey.
The reality of being on site: a mix of glitter, gold, dust, and a mask. It's not always glamorous, but it's always worth it.
More on-site reality. Gold leaf gets everywhere, including on my nails! But seeing a wall covered in that beautiful shimmer makes the mess worthwhile.
My kind of vibe. A messy paint palette, a cup of tea, and an idea waiting to happen. This is what my creative process looks like.
A simple reminder to myself and to you: do not let anything stop you from making art. Just make things.
About this collection
People often think art is just about elegant brushes and clean palettes, but the reality is usually a mix of glitter, gold, dust, and wearing a mask on-site for hours. Whether it is a 67-foot office mural or a delicate leaf accent, I treat every project as a piece of my own growth—sometimes that means using a bit of jugaad to solve a tricky wall angle, but the end result is always a space that feels distinctly yours.
Looking back at my first exhibition stall in Bangalore 11 years ago, I never imagined that this passion would turn into a career spanning over 85 wall murals and counting. From early days of scribbling steps on my hand to working with brands like OnePlus, Wipro, and Harley Davidson, it has been a wild ride.
The Reality of the Process
My work is rarely about just standing at an easel. It is about logistics—ladders, surface priming, and calculating paint opacity. When I take on a large-scale project, I am often balancing the creative vision with the technical constraints of the architecture. I have had to learn everything on the job, from mastering the application of imitation gold leaf to managing team dynamics on-site.
Why I Love the Challenge
I am drawn to projects that push me. Whether it is transforming an old office container into an inspiring workspace or adding a whimsical touch to a child's bedroom, I love finding the sweet spot where your vision meets my style. If you look closely at my work, you will see a mix of high-detail acrylics, fluid line work, and textures that catch the light differently throughout the day.
Let’s Connect
I am not just here to paint a wall; I am here to help you tell a story. If you have a corner in your home or a large office wall that feels a little too empty, I would love to hear your ideas. We can discuss your theme, the vibe you want to create, and how we can bring it to life together.
