Custom Hand-Painted Canvas Art
Bring your walls to life with a painting made specifically for your space. Whether it is an abstract statement piece or a detailed portrait, I create custom canvases that reflect your story.
56 hours of work in 56 seconds! This is a time-lapse of the large custom canvas I painted for Birkenstock's office, which combines elements of their footwear with iconic Indian landmarks.
This is my therapy. A quiet space, a large canvas, and my paints. This photo captures me working on the Birkenstock canvas, lost in the process.
I love experimenting with textures. This video shows me trying out a new technique with thick paint to create a 3D effect on canvas, inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.
A throwback to this custom painting I did for a cat lover. It was so much fun capturing the fluffy texture and grumpy-cute expressions of these two Persian cats.
This colorful flamingo canvas is an example of my doodle-inspired style. I filled the bird's silhouette with intricate patterns, flowers, and even the word "LOVE".
A candid shot of me working on a vibrant, abstract guitar painting. I love using bold colors and expressive brushstrokes to create a sense of energy and movement.
Another look at the 56-hour process of the Birkenstock canvas, with a special appearance by my furry supervisor at the end!
About this collection
A custom canvas isn't just about picking colors; it’s a collaborative process that takes anywhere from 40 to 60 studio hours per piece. We start by nailing down your vision—whether that’s a specific brand element, a pet portrait, or abstract floral—and I send you sketches before a single brushstroke hits the fine grain cotton canvas. By the time you receive your final, framed piece, it’s not just art on a wall; it’s a reflection of your personality.
How We Bring Your Vision to Life
When you commission a canvas painting, you aren't just buying a decor item. You are involving me in your creative process. Here is how I ensure the final result is exactly what you imagined:
- The Initial Concept: We start with a chat to understand the vibe of your room and your personal style. Are you looking for calming, neutral tones, or do you want something loud and vibrant?
- The Sketching Phase: Before I paint, I provide 2-3 digital sketches superimposed on photos of your wall or space. This ensures we are on the same page regarding scale, composition, and color palette.
- Materials & Technique: I use professional fine grain cotton canvas stretched over heavy-duty 1 to 1.5-inch wooden bars. My work relies on high-pigment acrylic emulsions, often layered 40-60 hours to create depth and texture.
- The Finish: Every canvas comes ready to hang with a floating frame included in the price. I also apply a UV-protective varnish, either gloss or matte depending on your preference, to ensure the painting stays vibrant for years.
Why Choose Custom Art?
I have spent 11 years painting, and the biggest lesson I've learned is that art should be personal. You might be looking for something specific—like a portrait of your pets, a painting that matches your living room cushions, or a piece of art that represents your company values.
I don't believe in churning out factory-made prints. Whether I am using gold leaf accents to catch the light or sticking to fine black line work for a minimalist feel, I focus on the details that make the piece 'yours.' If you have a specific idea or just a vague feeling you want to capture, let's talk. We will figure it out.
