Spiritual Storytelling Through Tabla & Rhythm
Music is how I talk—sharing stories of our gods, goddesses, and epics through the language of the tabla.
On Anant Chaturdashi, I perform the famous Ganesh Paran from the Banaras Gharana, flowing into my original 'ShivShakti' Tabla Jugalbandi. This composition weaves together two ragas and two tablas to represent the divine union of Shiva and Shakti.

About Spiritual Storytelling: Shiv Shakti, Krishna & Ganesh
When I compose pieces like 'Shiv Shakti' or my Ganesha tributes, I do not just play a beat. I use the Navrasa technique, weaving together up to nine different percussion instruments to evoke specific emotions—from serene devotion to cosmic power. It is about creating a living dialogue between the divine and the audience, ensuring the music feels like a story you are witnessing, not just a performance you are watching.
My approach to spiritual storytelling is rooted in the tradition of the Banaras Gharana, but I constantly look for new ways to bridge the gap between ancient rhythm and the modern listener.
The Navrasa Technique
In my 'Shiv Shakti' and 'Ramayan on Tabla' productions, I utilize the nine emotions (Navrasas) to guide the audience. I don't rely on a single drum. Instead, I orchestrate a conversation between the Pakhawaj, Tabla, Naal, and other folk instruments to capture the intensity of the epic narratives. This is not background music. It is a full audio-visual experience designed to draw the listener into the scene.
Performing the Divine
Whether it is a celebratory Ganesh Peshkar or a meditative composition for Mahashivratri, my focus is on intent. For Ganesh Chaturthi, I have collaborated with my mother, artist Ila Pal, to bring rhythm and color together on one stage—a dialogue between my percussion and her canvas.
Why Book This Performance?

- Cultural Festivals: Where storytelling and high-quality classical music are the focus.
- Spiritual Gatherings: Creating an atmosphere of devotion and introspection.
- Private Functions: For those who want a unique, culturally rich performance that leaves a lasting impact.
When you book an ensemble performance, I work with a 4-5 piece band, ensuring that every melody and beat is synced with the narrative we are unfolding. We handle the cue management and stage entry coordination, so you can focus entirely on the experience.
