From my debut at age nine to collaborating with global legends, this is my story of breaking barriers and finding the soul within the tabla.
This is my tabla story in a nutshell. It shows my journey from a young performer to collaborating with legends, creating my own bands like Stree Shakti, and receiving recognition like 'Bharat ki Lakshmi'.
On Mother's Day, I am grateful to Doordarshan for this opportunity to acknowledge the immense contribution of my mother, the famous artist Ila Pal. Her constant inspiration and guidance are the reason for everything I have achieved.
About My Journey in Rhythm
I believe that every performance or composition should tell a story. When we work together, we do not just pick a setlist. We curate a rhythmic narrative that fits the specific emotion of your event, whether you need a solo performance, a complex ensemble for a launch, or a thematic audio suite.
My musical journey has never been just about hitting the correct beats. It is about communication. When I compose music for a brand or direct a live ensemble, I focus on creating a soundscape that resonates with the audience on a subconscious level. I bring the same discipline I learned from Ustad Allarakha ji and Ustad Zakir Hussain ji to modern projects, ensuring that even fusion work retains its classical soul.

Whether I am directing a musical piece for a global brand like Dior or performing a solo tabla recital in Mumbai, I rely on the Navrasa technique. This method allows me to use nine different percussion instruments to evoke specific human emotions, making my music suitable for varied settings, from spiritual storytelling to high-energy corporate launches.
