My focus is always on supporting the vocalists so they can chant without losing their energy.
Devotional music requires a different kind of sensitivity. When I perform at a bhajan sandhya or a Sufi mehfil, my role is to provide a foundation that allows the lyrics to shine. I bring my professional tabla and dholak, and depending on the size of your gathering, I can perform solo or with a small team including a harmonium player and singers.
