Multi-Unit Housing and Community Master Planning
Designing residential communities that balance built structures with open, green spaces. My approach focuses on creating walkable, integrated neighborhoods where architecture fosters connection and well-being.
This fly-through of a 2.7-acre housing development shows my approach to site planning. The layout includes a mix of villas and low-rise apartments organized around central green spaces and a community club, creating a walkable and integrated neighborhood.
An aerial top-down view of the 2.7-acre residential project, showing the unique V-shaped layout of the site. This demonstrates the initial planning phase where I map out the building footprints, road network, and green areas to maximize space and create a harmonious design.
This rendering shows a row of luxury villas within a larger housing development. Each unit has access to a shared central lawn, promoting community interaction while maintaining privacy. The architectural style is modern, with stone and wood accents.
This video focuses on the landscape architecture of a housing project. It shows how I design the spaces between buildings, using pathways, seating areas, and a variety of plants to create functional and beautiful green spaces for residents to enjoy.

About Multi-Unit Housing & Community Planning
When planning large housing projects, the most critical step is balancing the density of units with accessible open space. If you look at the master plans I develop, you will notice the building footprints are arranged to prioritize central lawns and pedestrian pathways, ensuring that the development feels open rather than crowded, while maintaining privacy for each unit.
Our Approach to Master Planning
Designing a residential community or a housing development requires more than just efficient floor plans. My studio begins with a thorough site analysis to understand topography, sun orientation, and natural drainage. This initial phase allows us to map out the road network and building blocks in a way that minimizes infrastructure costs while maximizing land utility.
Integrating Greenery and Amenities
In our community projects, we treat landscape architecture as a primary element, not an afterthought. We design 'green corridors' that connect residential units to shared amenities like parks, pools, and fitness zones. By using a mix of hardscapes for walkways and softscapes for privacy barriers, we create environments that encourage residents to utilize outdoor spaces throughout the year.
From 3D Visualization to Execution
For multi-unit housing, we move beyond 2D layouts. We create comprehensive 3D walkthroughs for the entire project, allowing developers and residents to visualize the interaction between different building blocks, parking zones, and common areas before a single brick is laid. This process helps identify potential issues in circulation or sightlines, ensuring a smooth transition from the planning phase to the final build.
Whether developing a residential villa community or planning public infrastructure, we maintain a focus on long-term sustainability and ease of maintenance, selecting materials and layouts that withstand high usage without losing their functional integrity.
