Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling Training
BJJ is about leverage, patience, and solving problems on the ground. We teach kids to stay calm, build real confidence, and handle tough situations without shortcuts.
A great moment with our guest coach from Korea. It's always a privilege to learn from experienced practitioners and share that knowledge with my students.
Had a great training session with a fellow martial artist. The community is all about sharing, learning, and growing together.
Standing proud in my gi. Martial arts is a journey of self-improvement, and every day is a chance to get better.
Check out our new Omjiujitsu rashguard. It's important to have gear that represents our team and our philosophy.
About Our BJJ & Grappling Foundation
In our BJJ sessions, we don't just focus on takedowns or submissions. We start or end every class with 'Mat Chats'—short, focused conversations where we discuss resilience, dealing with peer pressure, and anti-bullying. It is about helping students stay calm under pressure, which is exactly why BJJ works as a foundation for real-life self-defense.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is much more than a sport to me. It is a chess game played with the body. When a child learns how to escape a pin or control a position, they aren't just learning a move, they are learning how to manage stress and stay composed when things get uncomfortable.
Why BJJ Matters Here
We prioritize technique over strength. In our Sector 46 dojo, we rotate through BJJ, Muay Thai, and wrestling fundamentals. This variety ensures that students aren't just memorizing one set of moves but are developing a complete understanding of how to protect themselves.
Our Training Philosophy
- No Shortcuts: We don't do quick fixes. Developing skill takes time, consistency, and discipline.
- Mat Chats: We use 5 to 10 minutes post-workout to talk about life skills, mental fortitude, and why bullying is never the answer.
- Small Batches: With a 1:10 to 1:15 ratio, I ensure that every student gets the feedback they need to improve their posture and leverage.
It is not just a gym; it is a family. Whether you are looking for physical conditioning or a place where your child can build real character, we keep the environment safe, supervised, and supportive. Even Moti, our dog, is often there to make sure the mood stays light and fun.
Anand Sharma
I'm Anand, and I started Omjiujitsu because I know what it feels like to be bullied. I want to build strong, confident humans, not just fighters. We take it one step at a time here, building grit and community in every session.
