We do not just build shops; we craft brand stories. Our commercial interior design work focuses on fluidity, functionality, and ensuring your brand’s personality remains the hero of the space.

We were tasked with bringing Ranbir Kapoor's vision for his lifestyle brand ARKS to life. This image of our partner, Shruti Dimri, in the completed store captures the effortlessly light and open feel we aimed to achieve.

The checkout counter at the ARKS store is a custom-designed sculptural piece with a fluid, curved form. It stands in contrast to the clean lines of the store, acting as a functional art installation.

A key feature of the ARKS store is the vibrant red, multi-level display unit. Its organic, flowing shape provides a dynamic platform for showcasing products like shoes and accessories, adding a burst of energy to the minimalist space.

The store layout is designed to be open and uncluttered, with integrated shelving and display areas. The neutral color palette allows the merchandise to stand out, while the red brand logo provides a strong visual anchor.

Detail is key in retail design. At the ARKS store, we used a continuous red rod for hanging apparel, which not only creates a flexible display system but also guides the customer's eye through the space.

Simplicity in detail. The clean white hangers with the red ARKS logo hang from a sleek display rod, reflecting the brand's focus on elevated essentials.

The minimalist apparel display system uses simple white rods and a neutral backdrop. This ensures the clothing is the hero, allowing for easy browsing and a clean aesthetic.

About Dynamic Commercial & Retail Interiors

When we designed the ARKS flagship store, we avoided standard off-the-rack shelving. Instead, we installed continuous red rods that function as both a flexible apparel display system and a visual guide for the customer. This design choice allows the clothing to remain the primary focus, keeps the floor space uncluttered, and injects the brand's signature color without overwhelming the neutral, minimalist backdrop we intentionally created.

Retail Design as Narrative

Retail environments are inherently performative. They are the stage where a brand’s identity meets a customer’s physical experience. In our commercial projects, we move away from the traditional, rigid layouts that often clutter a retail floor. Instead, we prioritize what we call fluid functionalism.

The ARKS Approach

For the ARKS store in Bandra, the challenge was to create a space that felt effortless, light, and open. We selected a neutral base palette to ensure the apparel itself provides the color story. The vibrancy, however, is not accidental. We used pops of red—a specific request rooted in the brand's identity—to create energy and movement.

Our custom checkout counter is a prime example of how we view commercial furniture. Rather than a standard box, it is a sculptural, curved piece that serves as an art installation, grounding the space while maintaining flow.

Why Materiality Matters

Commercial design is not just about aesthetics; it is about durability and the psychology of space. Whether we are using exposed brick, custom-engineered wood, or magnetic track lighting systems, every element is chosen to guide the customer through a journey.

When we take on a retail or commercial project, we start with your brand’s core ethos. We analyze your customer demographic, the nature of the products, and the flow of traffic. This data-driven approach allows us to create interiors that are not only visually distinct but also operationally efficient. If you are looking to create a flagship store or a commercial space that speaks to your brand values, our process begins with understanding the story you want to tell.
