I have been fortunate to have my work recognized by some of the most respected institutions in the country. Being awarded the ‘Kalanand’ All India Grant by the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation was a turning point. It was not just about the certificate; it was the endorsement from a jury I have admired for years. Similarly, placing as the 1st runner-up in the professional category at the Portrait Artist Group’s national competition, judged by legends like Vasudeo Kamath, remains a humbling highlight.
Exhibitions & Community
My exhibition "India Diaries: 2" at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai felt like a culmination of my obsession with capturing Indian heritage on paper. Exhibitions are more than displays; they are conversations. I love the energy of live portrait demonstrations, such as those at the Kalangan Art Exhibition in Pune. Painting live, under the watchful eyes of an audience, challenges me to be present and precise. It is also an honor to serve as a Brand Ambassador for platforms like Infinite Strokes, helping shine a light on the next generation of talented artists. Every award, exhibition, and news feature is a responsibility, a reminder to keep pushing, keep learning, and keep painting with honesty.
