Our Coaching Philosophy & Training Methods
We combine international basketball standards with local grit. Meet the coaches and the methodology behind our academy, focused on building both better athletes and better individuals.
Our founder, Akanksha Singh, shares the reason she started the academy. It was born from her own journey and the need for a professional training center in India where any athlete could get world-class facilities and coaching to reach their full potential.
Coach Samson Sandhu explains what makes our academy different. We build our schedules and programs around the athlete's individual needs, especially when it comes to managing injuries and ensuring proper rest.
Akanksha discusses the role of aggression in sports. We teach our athletes how to channel that fire constructively, using it as a tool to work harder in practice and perform better in championships.
Discipline is the key to long-term success. Akanksha explains why being disciplined about working hard, being on time, and being consistent is the most important characteristic an athlete can have.
Height isn't everything in basketball. Akanksha shares her personal story of being a 5'6" player and how she developed her "height equalizers" like speed and jumping ability to compete against taller opponents.
Senior Indian national team players Eudrick Pereira and Stephy Nixon share their thoughts on our academy. They highlight our world-class facilities and the importance of having a place where players can pursue basketball as a serious profession.

About this collection
We do not believe in cookie-cutter training programs. Our schedules are built around the athlete, not the clock. If you arrive tired or nursing a minor injury from a morning session, our coaches prioritize recovery and modified movement over forced training. It is about availability on the court, and we make decisions based on what your body actually needs to perform safely.
Building a Professional Standard
When I (Akanksha) started this academy, I had one goal: to create the training environment I struggled to find when I was preparing for the Indian team. We bridge the gap between amateur enthusiasm and professional excellence using data-driven methodologies that are rare in India.
The Methodology
We strip away the noise and focus on the fundamentals that matter. Our training philosophy is built on three pillars:
- Tech-Driven Feedback: We use tools like Dr. Dish for shooting repetition and Pix4Team cameras to analyze game footage. You see your stats, you see your mechanics, and you adjust in real-time.
- Triphasic S&C: Strength is not just about lifting weights. We use a triphasic cycle—eccentric, isometric, and concentric phases—to ensure you are moving with purpose, power, and vertical explosiveness.
- Controlled Aggression: Basketball is a physical game. We teach our athletes how to channel intensity into their practice, turning anger or frustration into a tool that pushes them to work harder than their competition.
Culture Over Corporate
We are a family, not just a training center. You will hear our coaches switching between English, Hindi, and Kannada on the court because communication is about connection. Whether it is Coach Samson adjusting a drill for a specific player or our physio team running the Game Ready system for recovery, every part of our facility serves one purpose: making you a pro-level player. If you are here to put in the work, we have the system to help you reach your full potential.
Akanksha Singh Basketball
I am Akanksha Singh, and I built this center to give athletes the professional training I wish I had when I was competing at the international level. We aren't just running drills; we are building a community where you get the same tech, recovery systems, and expert guidance that pro players use to stay on top.
