I travel across India and abroad to conduct deep-dive sessions focusing on technique, stamina, and the soul of Bharatanatyam. Join me to refine your art, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer.

Leading a workshop in Holland was an enriching experience. It's wonderful to see the dedication to our classical art forms so far from home. We covered a full composition, focusing on both technique and stamina.

From our first residential workshop in Chikhale. In these immersive sessions, we have the time to truly delve into the nuances of Abhinaya, exploring how to convey complex emotions through dance.

Teaching an intensive in Charlotte, North Carolina. I enjoy creating an open and sometimes playful environment in my classes, like in this moment where we discuss a piece. *Chennagi nodi bandira?*

A glimpse from a two day intensive workshop in Pune. These sessions are designed to be challenging yet inspiring, helping dancers refine their technique and push their boundaries in a supportive group setting.

A moment of instruction during a concert week in Mumbai. Here, I am working with a dancer on body alignment and posture, which are fundamental to creating clean lines in Bharatanatyam.

The energy in our Paris workshop was incredible. It is always a joy to share the intricacies of this art form with such hardworking and passionate participants, alongside Parshwanath anna.

A glimpse into a dance intensive at Punyah Abhayashaala. My focus in workshops is always on the details, breaking down complex movements and ensuring every student understands the mechanics and the feeling behind the form.

About this collection

When I lead these workshops, we aren't just reciting steps. We spend hours on alignment, the physics of a perfect Araimandi, and the Abhinaya that gives movement its meaning. I believe in a flipped classroom model where you access video modules beforehand, so when we meet in person—whether in Bangalore, Pune, or abroad—we can skip the basics and go straight into refining your precision and stamina.

Dance is a journey of constant, honest learning. My workshops are designed for dancers who have moved past the initial 'how-to' phase and are now asking 'why' and 'how much further.'

Whether it's a 2-day high-intensity bootcamp in Pune or a residential session in Chikhale, the structure remains consistent: we dissect the geometry of movement. We focus heavily on Nritta precision—ensuring your Adavus are crisp, your Talam is sharp, and your body conditioning is robust enough to handle demanding Margams.

But technique is only half the story. The other half is Abhinaya. I encourage students to explore the emotional landscape of each piece, moving beyond just 'performing' to actually embodying the character. As I often say, chennagi nodi—it’s always about seeing and understanding the art more deeply.

If you are joining me for an intensive, come prepared to work. We cover:

  • Body Alignment: Correcting posture to create cleaner, more aesthetic lines.
  • Stamina Building: Techniques to sustain energy through long, complex performances.
  • Abhinaya Exploration: Developing depth in your storytelling and expressive movements.
  • Collaboration: Understanding how to sync with live musicians, whether it's a vocalist or a mridangam player.

My goal is to leave you with not just a new set of moves, but a refined perspective on your own daily practice.

I’m Adithya, a dancer based in Bangalore, but my studio is wherever there’s a floor to practice on. I don’t believe in 'teaching' in the traditional sense; I prefer to share what I’ve gathered from my own journey—the sweating, the collaborations, and the constant refinement of our classical forms.
