About Mind & Body: Yoga & Active Play
Our rooftop artificial turf is where physical development becomes tangible. Whether it is yoga poses to build focus or guided sports drills to improve coordination, we ensure every session on the mat or the track helps children gain control, confidence, and healthy energy.
At Ace Montessori, we see physical activity as a core component of early childhood development, not just a break from learning. Our approach in both our Jayanagar and Padmanabhanagar campuses integrates movement into the daily Montessori rhythm. We utilize our rooftop facility, complete with artificial turf, to provide a safe, dedicated space where children practice gross motor skills that go far beyond simple running or jumping.
Our 'Mind & Body' program incorporates age-appropriate yoga, which helps children learn stillness, balance, and breathing—vital skills for focus in the classroom. When we bring out hoops for hopping, water balloons for sensory relay races, or organize our Annual Sports Festival, the goal is always intentional. We are teaching children how to use their bodies with purpose, how to engage in healthy competition, and how to work as a team.
Parents often ask how these activities translate to academic success. By developing fine and gross motor skills, children gain the physical stability required for tasks like writing and sitting for focused work. Our teachers and support staff guide these sessions to ensure every child, from the youngest toddler to our older preschoolers, learns to navigate their environment with grace and courtesy. Whether it is a quiet meditation session or a high-energy dance drill on the last day of school, we celebrate the joy of movement as part of a complete, healthy, and happy upbringing.
