Creative and Physical Development Programs
We nurture the whole child through a balance of creative art and mindful movement. See how our children blossom with curiosity and joy.
A child uses bubble wrap to create beautiful blue hydrangea blossom prints. This tactile art activity is a fun and creative way to explore textures and patterns.

A girl carefully dabs paint onto her bubble wrap stamp. This activity requires focus and helps develop her fine motor skills.
The simple materials for our hydrangea art project: paint, brushes, and bubble wrap. We believe creativity can be sparked with everyday items.
A teacher demonstrates how to prepare the bubble wrap for printing. Our educators guide children through each step of the creative process.
The finished hydrangea paintings, adorned with sponge-printed ladybugs, are displayed in our garden. We proudly showcase the children's beautiful artwork.
Children practice the butterfly pose during our Yoga Day celebration. Yoga helps improve flexibility, balance, and body awareness.
Two children smile as they practice a standing side-stretch. We make yoga fun and accessible for our young learners.
Our toddlers participate in a yoga session, learning simple poses like the cat-cow stretch. It's never too early to introduce the benefits of mindfulness and movement.
A teacher gently assists children with the child's pose in our outdoor garden. Practicing yoga in nature enhances the sense of calm and connection.
About Creative & Physical Development
At Smiti, our art projects are never just about the final product. When we created hydrangea blossoms, for example, we used bubble wrap to help children understand texture, pressure, and color mixing. This hands-on approach keeps kids engaged and allows them to explore their creativity while building fine motor skills, all while having fun with their friends.
Beyond Classroom Walls: Nurturing the Whole Child
At Smiti Montessori, we believe physical and creative development are just as important as academic learning. We do not ask children to sit still. Instead, we channel their natural energy into purposeful activities that build strength, coordination, and focus.
Mindful Movement and Yoga
Yoga in a preschool setting is not about rigid postures. It is about discovery. Whether they are balancing in a triangle pose or stretching like a cat, our children learn to connect with their bodies. We see yoga as a tool for emotional regulation; it helps the children find a moment of calm during their busy school day. The garden turf at our HAL 3rd Stage campus is a favourite spot for these sessions, letting the children breathe in fresh air while they move.
Creative Exploration
Art is a sensory experience for us. We avoid craft-by-numbers where every project looks identical. Instead, we set up materials like bubble wrap, sponges, or natural textures and let the children experiment. When they create, they are problem-solving. They learn that a sponge can be a ladybug or a bubble wrap sheet can be a flower. This freedom builds confidence, turning every art session into a lesson in self-expression and decision-making.
