About Architectural Design
I see architecture as much more than just how a building looks - it's about how it lives, breathes, and works for the people inside. My approach is rooted in simplicity, honesty of materials, and the idea that less truly is more.
What I Work On
- Homes: Designing houses that feel like they belong to the land. I use vernacular building techniques and focus on sustainable residential architecture. Expect lots of exposed brick, terracotta, and raw concrete. Light is big for me - skylights, courtyards, and openings that let the sun in and connect indoors with the outdoors.
- Commercial & Institutional Spaces: I work on everything from hospitals to offices. Here, function leads, but I never ignore form. Passive design strategies help reduce energy use, and I go for open, airy interiors with clean lines.
- Restoration: Old houses have soul. I love working on adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, keeping the original feel (those sloping roofs and wooden rafters) but making them work for today.
How I Work
- I manage the whole process, start to finish - design, structure, construction.
- Sustainability isn't just a trend for me; I use local materials and smart design to make buildings efficient and comfortable.
- I'm based in Bangalore but always up for projects outside the city. There's nothing like seeing a space come alive, wherever it is.
