My Approach to Realistic Portraits
I don't just trace photos; I study them. When I draw a portrait, I look for the play of light and shadow on the face. Whether it is a formal office look, a candid shot with glasses, or a casual profile, my goal is to make it look as real as the person standing in front of me.
The Material Matters
I use high-quality graphite and charcoal on acid-free cartridge paper (like Fabriano or Brustro). This isn't just about the drawing; it is about how the drawing lasts.
