About Individual Portraits: Men
When you send me a photo, I look at the lighting and texture first. For men's portraits, getting the skin shading right around the beard and hair is key to making the drawing look real. I use A4 size acid-free paper and finish every piece with a fixative spray, so your sketch stays clean for years. It is just me and my pencil, working to catch the feeling from your photo.
How I make your portrait
It starts with the photo you share. I do not use digital tricks or filters. I use high-grade graphite and charcoal pencils to build the image layer by layer.
The process
I focus on individual facial structure. Whether it is the jawline, the eyes, or the specific texture of facial hair, my goal is to get the likeness spot on. Since I work on 200 GSM acid-free paper, the drawing has a nice weight to it. Once the shading is done, I apply a fixative spray so the graphite does not smudge.
Shipping and care
Your sketch is shipped in a sturdy PVC tube, ensuring it reaches you without any creases or damage. Since it is unframed, you have the freedom to choose a frame that matches your room or office decor.
