About Portraits of Legends & Icons
Getting a realistic portrait of a legend requires a high-quality reference photo. I use professional-grade acid-free paper and apply a protective fixative spray so your artwork remains smudge-free and doesn't yellow, making it perfect for framing and displaying in your home.
When I draw icons like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or figures like Ratan Tata, the goal is to capture more than just a face. I look for the character in their expression and the details that make them recognizable.
My process begins with a clear photograph. I use graphite and charcoal to map out the shadows and skin textures, working on acid-free cartridge paper to ensure longevity. For legends, I pay extra attention to details like traditional attire, jewelry, or signature accessories to get the likeness exactly right.
If you have a specific scene in mind, such as a movie character or a historical portrait, I can incorporate subtle touches of color or focus on specific elements to enhance the impact. Every piece is treated with a fixative spray to prevent smudging. I pack these securely in PVC tubes or between hard boards to make sure they reach you anywhere in India without any creases or damage. You receive a high-resolution digital scan of the work before I ship it out, so you know exactly what to expect.
Shivam Pandey
Hey, I’m Shivam. I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of sketching faces—whether it’s a legend from history or someone who inspires me today. Every line I draw is about getting that 'real' feel, not just a copy of a photo.
