Yoga is more than just physical shapes. At Kaya, we treat asanas as a form of prayer, focusing on intentional alignment, steady breath, and the connection between your spine and your peace of mind.

Exploring the challenge of Astavakrasana, or Eight-Angle Pose. This arm balance requires a blend of core strength, hip flexibility, and complete focus.

Another perspective on Astavakrasana. Arm balances teach us so much about our own power and the importance of finding a stable foundation, both on and off the mat.

A gentle outdoor yoga flow, moving through poses like Bhujangasana (Cobra) and Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog). Practicing in nature adds another layer of peace to the experience.

Finding peace in an advanced backbend, Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (One-Legged King Pigeon Pose). This deep stretch opens the heart and reminds us to lead with compassion.

Opening the heart in Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward-Facing Dog). This pose is a powerful reminder to be fully present in the now, as life is only ever happening in this moment.

Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, or One-Legged King Pigeon Pose. As my Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar said, "My body is my temple and Asanas are my prayers."

Finding stillness and strength in Baddha Padmasana (Bound Lotus Pose). This posture requires deep focus and opens the chest, symbolizing an offering of the heart.

A creative shot of Baddha Padmasana. This pose embodies the journey of a woman learning to know, accept, and love herself on all levels: mind, body, and spirit.

Pashchima Namaskarasana, or Reverse Prayer Pose. This simple yet profound posture opens the shoulders and chest, encouraging good posture and a feeling of inner spaciousness.

A moment of quiet contemplation in a low lunge variation. Sometimes, the silence between the poses has the most to teach us.

About The Art of Asana

When you step onto the mat at our Mulund studio, we do not just ask you to hold a pose. We look at your alignment, your breath, and how your body is actually responding. Whether you are working on your first downward dog or refining an inversion, the focus is always on safety and understanding your unique anatomical limits, not just pushing for the perfect shape.
