I find art in the things we use every day, from street food stalls to simple household items. Each drawing is a study of texture, light, and the stories hidden in the mundane.

A detailed study of a Golgappa vendor's setup, drawn with colored pencils on brown paper. This piece aims to elevate a common street scene into a work of art, focusing on light, shadow, and texture.

This artwork of Belada hannu, or wood apples, sold at a roadside stall, is a fond memory captured in colored pencil. I am drawn to subjects that are deeply rooted in local life, and this piece has since been sold to a collector.

Titled 'Digital Basava', this mixed-media piece juxtaposes a traditionally adorned bull with a modern QR code. It is my commentary on how tradition and technology coexist in today's India.

A creative exploration where I reimagined a toothbrush with teeth for bristles. This surreal drawing was made using my own toothbrush as a reference, blending the real with the imagined.

A still life study of woven bamboo baskets, rendered in colored pencil on a brown sheet. I focused on capturing the intricate weaving patterns and the interplay of light on different textures.

A stack of folded cloths, each with its own unique pattern and color. This colored pencil drawing is an appreciation of the rich textiles and fabrics that are part of our visual culture.

Titled 'Vastra', this piece is a detailed drawing of a folded saree, focusing on its intricate patterns and rich colors. I used colored pencils to bring out the texture of the fabric against the simple brown paper.

Even a simple packet of Electral oral rehydration salts can become a subject for art. This drawing is part of my object studies series, where I practice realism by observing and rendering everyday items.

About Object Studies: The Beauty in the Everyday

Every piece in this collection is drawn using professional grade colored pencils on toned brown paper, which gives the artwork a warm, earthy texture that standard white paper cannot achieve. When I select a subject like a crumpled Electral packet or a stack of sarees, I am not just drawing an object but capturing a specific interplay of light and shadow that makes the ordinary feel significant. These works are finished with a matte fixative spray to prevent smudging and arrive flat packed between rigid honeycomb boards to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
