I paint the things we usually ignore—a sink full of dishes or a crushed soda can. Finding art in the mundane is how I stay sane. ✨

'The Simplicity of Chaos', an oil painting of a sink full of dirty dishes. This piece is part of my upcoming collection, 'Beauty in the Mundane', which finds art in everyday moments.

A straight-on view of the 'Simplicity of Chaos' painting. I used oil paints to capture the reflections in the water and the textures of the leftover food and soap bubbles.

Adding the final touches to the miniature painting of a chaotic sink. The tiny brush allows for incredible detail, even on such a small canvas.

A realistic oil painting of a crushed Coca-Cola can, focusing on the way light reflects off the crumpled metal. It's a fun study in realism and pop art.

Here I am adding a highlight to the Coke can painting. Capturing these small details is what brings a realistic painting to life.

The finished oil painting of the crushed Coke can, sitting on a wooden table. The reflection on the surface below adds another layer of realism to the piece.

A painting of a vintage street lamp, glowing warmly against a simple wall. This piece captures a quiet, nostalgic mood.

An oil painting capturing the motion of a potter's wheel. I wanted to convey the feeling of creation and the hands-on process of making art.

A miniature painting of a delicious strawberry sundae. I loved painting the texture of the whipped cream and the glossy drips of the strawberry sauce.

A small oil painting of a used blister pack of pills. This is another piece that finds a strange sort of beauty and story in a very mundane object.

About The Beauty in Everyday Things

I typically work with oils on stretched cotton canvas for these smaller pieces. Capturing the light on reflective surfaces like metal or glass takes a few sittings, but it is the part I enjoy the most. It is all about finding the magic in a messy sink or a crushed soda can before I finalize the details for you.
