Transform Your Treasured Sarees Into Modern Outfits
Give your old sarees a new life. From lehengas to jumpsuits, I help you turn cherished fabrics into custom outfits you will love to wear again.
Here is another beautiful saree transformation story. A client brought us her mother's saree, and we redesigned it into a modern lehenga with a fitted bodice, cap sleeves, and a contrasting one-touch pallu, all while preserving the original border.
We turned this elegant black net saree into a trendy skirt and blouse set. This is a perfect example of an affordable upcycling project that gives you a completely new, stylish outfit for under ₹6500.
From a simple saree to a chic, modern jumpsuit. We used the saree's fabric to create this halter-neck jumpsuit, incorporating the original border as a stylish belt detail.
Watch this red and orange saree with a heavy border transform into a contemporary jacket and skirt set. We used the embroidered part of the saree to create a stunning open jacket, perfect for layering.
This saree recreation shows how we can use the heavily embroidered pallu and border to design a long, open-front jacket. Paired with a simple inner dress, it gives the old saree a completely new and royal look.
Yes, we can turn a saree into a gown. We took this beautiful embroidered net saree and redesigned it into a full-length gown with flared sleeves, perfect for a wedding or reception. The final photo shows our happy client enjoying her new outfit at an event.
When a client comes to us with a Pinterest photo and a saree, we get to work. We recreated this stunning red suit, complete with a unique neckline and delicate embroidery from her original saree, turning inspiration into reality.
We love making the most out of your fabric. Here’s how we transformed a single beautiful saree into two completely different designer kurtis, each with its own unique style. This is a great way to maximize the value of your old garments.
This project was so special. We took a client's mother's saree, which had some stains, and transformed it into this beautiful Angrakha kurti and panel skirt set. We even added a plain fabric to complete the look and re-dyed the dupatta to get the perfect match. Seeing her joy was everything.
About Saree-to-Outfit Transformations
Working with vintage fabric requires a careful eye. I personally inspect your saree for stains or wear and map out the panels to keep the best parts of the embroidery or border. If the fabric is limited, we will discuss adding matching elements so the final outfit feels cohesive and authentic to your style.
When you bring a saree to me, the first step is always a conversation about what you want it to become. Whether it is an old saree you want as a lehenga or a simple georgette piece you want as a jumpsuit, I look at the length, the condition of the fabric, and the embroidery placement.
My team and I work at our Punjabi Bagh studio to ensure every cut is precise. We use high-quality linings, including butter crepe and taffeta, to give old fabrics the structure they need for modern silhouettes. If a piece of the saree is damaged, I will tell you upfront and suggest creative ways to replace it or redesign the area.
I am very hands-on with every piece because I know these are not just clothes. They are memories from your mother, a wedding outfit, or a gift that holds history. We also offer options like adding matching fabrics to complete a design if your saree is short or has worn-out sections.
If you are in Delhi NCR, you can visit our studio or we can coordinate everything over chat. My goal is simple: to make sure that when you see the final piece, you feel happy and excited to wear it again.
