Functional Fitness and Coordination Training
Training is not just about the barbell. I use drills like staff movements to build wrist strength, coordination, and focus that carry over to every lift.
Trying out some traditional staff movements after a long time. It's a great way to improve coordination, wrist strength, and focus.
About Additional Work
I bring in unconventional tools like the staff to break the monotony of standard gym routines. It is not just about moving weight, but about training your mind to focus while your body learns complex coordination patterns. This is the kind of functional movement that keeps you agile and makes the heavy lifting feel easier.
My approach at the Akhada is simple: push your boundaries every single day. While the heavy squats and deadlifts build your raw strength, incorporating movements like staff drills is how we sharpen your athleticism. After ten years of practicing these, I still find them to be one of the most effective ways to improve wrist mobility and spatial awareness.
When you train with me, you are not just hitting a machine for thirty minutes. We look at the body as a whole. Whether we are doing high-intensity HIIT circuits, boxing drills, or these coordination sessions, the goal remains the same: functional strength that works in the real world.
My gym in AECS Layout is set up for this kind of variety. You will find everything from squat racks for your heavy compounds to turf space for mobility work and combat drills. If you are bored with your current gym routine and want a coach who focuses on real skill development rather than just counting reps, you are in the right place.
