In this TV segment, I explain and demonstrate Bhramari Pranayama, a simple yet profound technique to calm the mind and release mental fatigue.
A core principle of my teaching: Pranayama is the method by which we control our life force, bringing discipline to our energy and mind.

About this collection
Most people approach pranayama as simple breathing exercises, but we treat it as a precise method to calm the nervous system. In our sessions, we do not just focus on volume or speed. We specifically work on Nadi Shodhan to balance your energy channels and Bhramari to release immediate mental fatigue. If you are struggling with erratic sleep patterns or constant overthinking, this practice is your first step toward clarity, not just relaxation.
Why Pranayama Matters
Modern life keeps the nervous system in a constant state of tension. We often breathe shallowly, which impacts mental clarity and emotional stability. At Sivapta, we teach breathwork as the foundation of your practice. When you gain control over your breath, or 'Pran', you gain authority over your mind.
Our Approach to Meditation
We move beyond simple passive observation. Our meditation methodology involves preparing the physical body through Sukshma Vyayama to ensure the spine is ready for stillness.
- Nadi Shodhan (Alternate Nostril Breathing): This is vital for those dealing with high anxiety. We focus on the rhythm to cleanse the Nadis, or energy channels, bringing balance to the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
- Bhramari (Bee Breath): A powerful technique we use to release cranial tension. It is highly effective for students suffering from migraines or mental fog.
- Naad Yoga: We often incorporate mantra chanting and harmonium vibrations to settle the mind before we sit in silence. Sound acts as a vehicle, making it easier to transition from the chaos of the outside world into a state of deep reflection.
