Safe Hands-on Yoga Training for Kids
Yoga is a journey of self-acceptance and strength. I provide personal, hands-on guidance to ensure your child builds a safe foundation, learns correct alignment, and gains confidence.
I believe in guiding each child personally. In this photo, I am helping a student deepen her backbend using a prop, ensuring her spine is supported and her alignment is correct.
For very advanced postures like this deep backbend, my physical support is crucial. I guide the student to prevent injury and help them understand the limits of their body safely.
Self-acceptance is a key part of yoga. With my assistance and the use of a yoga wheel, this student learns to trust her body and achieve a challenging pose with proper form.
About Hands-on Guidance & Safe Practice
Safety in yoga begins with proper alignment. In my studio sessions, I do not just demonstrate a pose and let students copy; I provide hands-on assistance to guide their spine and limbs into the correct position. This physical support is essential when children are learning complex stretches or backbends, as it prevents injury and helps them feel the correct form intuitively.
Building a Safe Practice
Real progress in yoga requires more than just mimicry. My approach in the Rohini studio focuses on disciplined, controlled movement. Whether it is a deep backbend or a complex balance, I am there to spot and correct the student, ensuring their joints are protected and their spine is elongated properly.
Why Hands-on Assistance Matters
- Injury Prevention: Children are flexible, but they often lack the awareness to know when a stretch is too deep. My hands-on corrections teach them the limits of their own body.
- Prop-Assisted Learning: We use yoga wheels, blocks, and wall ropes (Yoga Kurunta) to bridge the gap between where a student is and where they want to be. These tools allow for deeper stretches without the risk of overextension.
- Small Batch Focus: With group sizes limited to 8-12 students, no one gets lost in the crowd. Each child receives the attention required to perform the asanas correctly.
The Path to Self-Acceptance
Yoga is not about comparing yourself to others. It is about understanding what your body can do today and working patiently to expand that capacity. When a child finally nails a pose after weeks of practice with the right technique, the confidence they gain is immense. 'Yog se bhage rog hai' (diseases run away from yoga), and by mastering these postures with correct alignment, they build a foundation of health that will serve them for years to come. Whether you join my classes at Amba Tower or opt for online sessions, the goal remains the same: steady, disciplined, and safe development.
