About Farm-to-Table Living
Here, the menu isn't set in stone; it is dictated by the season and the soil. Whether it is plucking fresh mint for your morning tea or gathering organic produce for dinner, you are eating ingredients that were rooted in our orchard just hours before they hit your plate.
When you stay here in Kotkhai, you aren't a guest in a hotel; you are a temporary member of our farm life. We move at the speed of nature—which means no TVs or air conditioning, just the quiet rhythm of the valley.
Our kitchen is the heart of the home. We cook traditional Pahadi meals, often on a chulha, using ingredients grown right on our land. You might find yourself having Siddu or Sepu Vadi, prepared with organic vegetables picked by hand. If you visit when the fruit is ripe, you will eat Sahiba apricots or apples straight off the tree—a taste you simply cannot replicate with store-bought fruit.
We focus on the small, quiet moments: watching the monsoon mist settle over the deodar trees, drinking spring water from the trails, or just sitting on the wooden balcony with a book. This is a true digital detox. It is about reconnecting with the earth, eating simple, honest food, and understanding what it means to live in the mountains. If you want to get your hands dirty, join us in the orchard for some maintenance lessons, or follow us on a forest trail to find where the locals go.
