My Journey as a Professional Ballerina
Ballet is not just about the final performance. It is about years of discipline, practice, and the joy of movement that I bring into every class I teach.
A solo performance from a classical ballet production, surrounded by flowers. The stage has always been a special place for me, and I use my experience as a professional ballerina to guide my students in their own artistic expression.
This studio shot captures a classic pose from a partner dance. Mastering these technical elements of ballet requires precision and trust, skills that I have honed over many years and now pass on to the next generation of dancers.
A dramatic moment from a theatrical ballet performance. This photo shows the storytelling aspect of dance, where movement and emotion come together. I encourage my students to explore character and narrative in their own dancing.
Performing a lift like this on stage is a powerful feeling that requires immense strength and coordination from both partners. This is an example of the advanced pas de deux work that is part of a professional ballet career.
The feeling of flying across the stage in a grand jeté is pure joy. This photo captures the energy and athleticism that ballet demands. I teach my students the foundational techniques to safely build towards these exciting and expressive movements.
A simple, happy moment backstage in a beautiful romantic-style tutu. Embodying grace and poise is a core part of ballet, and I love helping my students find their own confidence and elegance through dance.
This is a photo of me with my fellow company dancers and our director, Mr. Fernando. Being part of a professional ballet company taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication, values I bring to every class.
About My Performances & Credentials
When I stand in front of my students, I am not just teaching steps. I am sharing the grit and technique I learned over fifteen years of performing on professional stages. Whether it is perfecting a grand jeté or building the core strength needed for a lift, I know exactly what it takes to get there because I have walked that path myself.
My life in dance has been a long, winding, and wonderful road. Before I transitioned into teaching, I spent years training and performing within a professional company. Those days under the stage lights taught me more than just how to dance. I learned about the discipline of rehearsal, the trust required for partner work, and the absolute thrill of connecting with an audience.
Why My Performance Background Matters for Students
When you look at the photos here, you see the finished product—the costumes, the lights, the perfect pose. But as a teacher, I want you to know what lies underneath. That precision in my posture comes from years of bar work. That strength in my legs is a result of the conditioning I practiced every single day.
I bring this exact technical rigor into my studio classes in Saket. We do not just mimic movements; we understand the anatomy behind them.
- Technical Foundation: We start with proper alignment, ensuring safety and efficiency in movement.
- Performance Readiness: Even for beginners, I incorporate the storytelling and character-building aspects of ballet, making the movement feel alive.
- Mindful Movement: I integrate the yoga principles I practice daily to ensure my students are flexible and injury-free.
Teaching is my way of passing the baton. My goal is to create a space where students do not just learn to dance, but learn to respect the art form, their own bodies, and the joy of progress. Whether you are a parent looking for a class for your child or an adult wanting to start your own ballet journey, you are stepping into a space built on deep, practical experience.
