I believe the secret to a perfect false ceiling is in the preparation. When I work with POP, I always cut the grooves for profile lights while the material is still wet. This sounds like a small detail, but it prevents those annoying hairline cracks that appear weeks after the job is finished. It takes extra effort, but it saves you the headache of repairs later.

- Gypsum Boards: Best for clean, sharp lines and faster installation. I use 12mm boards with 0.5mm GI framing for a sturdy, crack-resistant base.
- POP Punning: Essential for that smooth, seamless look. This is where the 'aachi finishing' comes in. I ensure the application is even so your paint finish looks premium, not patchy.
- Modern Trends (2025): We are moving away from traditional bulky designs. Stretch ceilings, fluted panels, and integrated backlighting are taking over. These add texture and depth without needing a huge budget.
The Lighting Factor
Light is part of the structure, not an add-on. Whether it is cove lighting to bounce light off the ceiling or profile channels that cut through the POP, I plan the electrical layout before I start the framing. This ensures you don't have dangling wires or uneven light patches.
