About False Ceilings & Lighting
When you are picking a false ceiling design, do not just copy a photo from the internet. The height of your room matters a lot. If you choose a heavy, multi-layered pattern in a room with a standard height, it makes the space feel cramped. I often suggest simple perimeter coves with profile lighting for such spots because it keeps the room looking spacious while still adding that premium depth.
A well-executed false ceiling is about more than just gypsum boards and POP work; it is about how you hide the wiring and control the light shadows. Over the last decade, I have learned that the secret lies in the finishing. Whether it is a clean, rectangular cove for soft ambient light or a complex pattern, my focus remains on the edges and the curing process.
Why Lighting Matters
Lighting is half the work. A common mistake is using too many bright white lights that make a home feel like an office. I prefer a mix of warm white LED cove lighting to highlight the ceiling patterns and COB spotlights to create focal points on walls or TV units. For my projects in Noida and Ghaziabad, I often incorporate profile lighting to give a modern look that complements our custom furniture.
My Process
I do not believe in quick fixes. A solid ceiling installation requires time for the POP to dry and for all electrical points to be tested thoroughly. If you are renovating your hall or bedroom, I suggest we sit down to discuss the beam sizes, ceiling height, and light positioning before we start the work. This ensures that when the lights go on, everything is exactly where it should be.
