Modern Geometric & Multi-Level False Ceilings
A standard ceiling is just a cover, but a designed one is a canvas. We use geometric patterns and multi-level structures to add depth, hide unsightly wiring, and create the exact mood you want for your living or bedroom.
A bold, interlocking geometric false ceiling design in a two-tone color scheme. This POP construction adds a strong visual focus to the bedroom and complements the existing wooden wardrobes.
This bedroom ceiling features a square-in-square design with a contrasting color palette. The central section incorporates textured panels and is framed by recessed lighting, creating a neat and centered look around the fan.
A multi-layered false ceiling featuring clean lines and decorative wooden-finish accents. This design effectively frames the central fan area and adds a sophisticated architectural element to the room.
A contemporary living room ceiling with a layered, offset square design in grey and white. The structure is prepared for the installation of multiple pendant lights and includes integrated speakers for a complete media experience.
About Geometric & Multi-Level Ceilings
When planning these geometric designs, we look closely at your room's height. In many modern apartments, space is at a premium. We often suggest slimmer profile designs or subtle multi-level drops that add character without making the room feel lower or cramped. We also coordinate your existing fan positions and light layouts before construction begins to ensure everything is functional and perfectly centered.
Why Choose Geometric and Multi-Level Designs
Geometric false ceilings go beyond simple aesthetics. By using squares, rectangles, or offset layers, we can visually divide a large living area into distinct zones—for instance, separating a dining nook from the main seating space. Multi-level designs allow us to create a 'cove' effect, where LED strips are tucked away to provide soft, ambient lighting that removes harsh shadows.
Our Materials and Process
For these complex shapes, we primarily recommend Gypsum board (from trusted brands like Saint-Gobain Gyproc or USG Boral). It provides the seamless, smooth finish required for sharp geometric corners. Our process involves:
- Leveling: We use lasers to ensure the structure is perfectly flat, preventing that tilted look common in poor installations.
- Framing: We use a suspended Hot Dip Galvanized Iron (G.I.) framework. This keeps the ceiling rigid over time so you don't see cracks at the joints later.
- Jointing: We use fiber mesh tape and high-quality compound on all joints to ensure they are invisible once painted.
Customization for Your Space
Every room has different needs. If you have a low ceiling, we can do a perimeter-only design that keeps the center height intact. If you have a high ceiling, we can build deeper, more intricate islands with multiple layers to create a dramatic architectural feature. We handle all cutouts for your specific lights (COB or spotlights) and ensure your ceiling fans are mounted securely into the true ceiling, not just the false one, to prevent vibration and sagging.
