Interactive Storytelling & Reading Clubs
We move away from screens and towards connection, using books and tales to spark confidence, empathy, and joy in children.
Here are our young readers from the "Totally Booktastic Club" in action. In this club, older kids aged 7-10 read their favorite books to a younger audience, fostering confidence and a shared love for stories.
A proud group photo from our "Totally Booktastic Club." One of our young readers is holding his self-authored book, "Silly Soccer," which he read to the group. It was a blast for both the readers and the listeners.
Snippets from a magical storytelling session with the amazing Devaki. She completely captured the children's imagination with her tale about caring for our planet, leaving everyone with an important lesson.
About Nurturing Young Imaginations
It is one thing to read a book, but another to have a peer bring it to life. At our Totally Booktastic Club, we flip the script: children aged 7 to 10 take the lead, choosing their favorite stories and reading them to the younger group. This builds immense confidence in our young readers and keeps the little ones engaged with relatable energy, not just a lecture.
We believe that the best way to ignite a passion for books is to make it a community activity rather than a solitary task. In our Vikhroli East studio, we create a sensory and interactive space where stories serve as a gateway to new ideas.
Why this approach works
- Peer-to-Peer Learning: When an older child reads to a younger one, the pressure fades, and a natural mentorship forms. We see kids who are typically shy suddenly find their voice when they hold a book in front of an audience.
- Active Imagination: Storytelling isn't just about listening; it's about doing. After a tale, we dive into discussions, mini-dramas, or quick crafts that help the lesson stick, ensuring children internalize the values presented.
- Screen-Free Engagement: We prioritize focus and imagination. Whether it's a tale about caring for the planet or a silly story about sports, our sessions are crafted to give children a break from gadgets and a boost in empathy.
If you are looking for a space where your child can develop communication skills, build confidence, or simply find the joy in a good book, come visit us. We keep our groups small and intentional, ensuring every child feels seen and heard.
Wondershop
We’re Wondershop, a space in Vikhroli East where kids get to trade screens for stories. I love seeing the shift in a child’s confidence when they realize they can hold an audience’s attention—it is pure magic.
