Hampi is a landscape of boulders and echoes. I document these ruins not just as monuments, but as the living stories of the Vijayanagara empire, capturing the interplay of ancient stone and the golden hour light.

A cinematic video that compares the otherworldly landscape of Hampi to the movie 'Dune'. It showcases the ancient ruins, boulder-strewn hills, and vast, dry fields, giving it an epic, sci-fi feel.

A welcoming video to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It provides a sweeping overview of the magnificent ruins, from the Virupaksha Temple to the sun setting over the ancient structures.

A poster-style image of the iconic Virupaksha Temple, reflected in the waters of the Tungabhadra river. This shot perfectly captures the grandeur of Hampi's most famous landmark.

A low-angle shot looking up at the gopuram (tower) of the Virupaksha Temple, framed by the roofs of the surrounding structures. The composition emphasizes the temple's towering height and intricate carvings.

A detailed view of a ruined temple gopuram against a clear blue sky. The image highlights the incredible craftsmanship of the Vijayanagara empire, even in its decaying state.

A wide shot of a pillared hall, or mandapa, standing resolute against a backdrop of Hampi's characteristic boulder-covered hills. This photo showcases the unique blend of architecture and nature.

A series of images presented as pages from a travel magazine, each with a text overlay explaining Hampi's history. These photos capture various ruins, including temple tanks, stone pillars, and mandapas, telling the story of the lost empire.

About Hampi: Echoes of an Empire

I do not just frame the temples. When I shoot Hampi, I focus on the scale of the boulder-strewn landscape against the architecture. I use a mix of wide-angle drone shots and 50mm portrait focal lengths to make you feel the isolation and the immense history of this place, ensuring your documentation looks like a cinematic travelogue rather than a standard tourist set.
