The Journey: Behind the Lens
A collection of moments from my path as a photographer, from the early days of a phone camera to capturing stories across India's landscape.
A diptych showing a beautiful house in the mountains and a stunning river valley. The caption tells my personal story of how photography became my passion and profession after a setback in college.
This video contrasts the freedom others might seek with the freedom I actually want. It shows me in my element, exploring the mountains of Spiti, camera in hand, finding peace in nature.
A personal reel showing me exploring the vintage architecture of Bombay. It reflects my love for old-school charm and finding myself lost between the past and the present.
A poignant portrait of an old man with weathered features. This image, one of my favorites, represents my goal to find and share the stories etched in people's faces.
A duplicate of the same powerful portrait (ID 14), shared on Photographer's Day. It reinforces the importance of this image to my journey and my focus on capturing human stories.
An overhead shot of devotees at the Pattan Kodoli festival, a sea of yellow. This is another of my favorite shots, capturing a moment of collective faith and energy that I am grateful to witness.
A black and white photo of a cat sitting among freshly made clay bowls in a potter's workshop. This image showcases my eye for finding quiet, unexpected stories in everyday life.
About this collection
It started with a simple phone camera in 2017, but that curiosity turned into a career spent chasing real narratives. Today, I use a full-frame sensor to capture the grit of Mumbai streets and the quiet of mountain landscapes. My focus is on visual storytelling that stays true to the moment, without artificial setups.
My photography began as a way to process a setback during college. It quickly became my career. I do not believe in heavy flash setups or stiff, posed sessions. I prefer natural ambient light, 50mm primes for subject isolation, and a cinematic documentary approach. Whether I am shooting a 4K vertical reel in Mumbai or capturing the soul of a festival in Kolhapur, the goal remains the same: honesty.
I use a mix of documentary photography and videography to build a narrative. My gear, including drone landscapes and full-frame sensors, supports this, but the result is always rooted in the reality of the moment. My process relies on being a fly on the wall, allowing the scene to unfold naturally rather than directing it. I have learned that the most powerful images often come from the chaotic streets of a bazaar or the silence of a high-altitude desert. If you want to document a project, a travel film, or a brand story, we will focus on what makes the moment real, not what makes it perfect.

I started with random phone clicks, but now my camera is my life. I chase the stories hidden in the chaos of city streets and the silence of high-altitude deserts. My work is about finding the soul of a place and putting it on frame.
