I'm Aishwarya, the founder of Whipsicles. In this video, I share some of our best practices, from using ethically sourced, natural ingredients to our 100% plastic-free, biodegradable, and reusable packaging.
A small but important change we made was switching to recycled paper labels. This aligns with our core value of sustainability, and we love the simple, earthy look it gives our artisan soaps.
Our packaging is plastic-free from start to finish. We use sturdy corrugated boxes, thank you cards made from recycled paper, and paper-based confetti and tape to secure your order.
We package our ubtans, body butters, and bath salts in reusable glass jars and tin containers. They are sourced locally to reduce our carbon footprint and can be repurposed around your home.
All of our soap bars are wrapped in paper with simple paper labels. This minimalist, plastic-free approach ensures our products are as kind to the planet as they are to your skin.
Watch us pack an order using our minimal, plastic-free packaging. We use recycled paper confetti for cushioning and a waterproof paper envelope to ensure your goodies arrive safe and sound.

You might wonder how we stay plastic-free during the monsoon. I use wax-coated paper envelopes that provide water resistance without relying on synthetic cling wraps. It is a small, intentional swap that keeps your skincare safe while staying true to my zero-waste commitment.
The Cold Process Difference
Cold process soap making is inherently slow, and that is exactly the point. By avoiding high-heat shortcuts, I preserve the natural properties of the plant-based oils, butters, and clays in every batch. This traditional method allows the glycerin to remain in the soap, which makes it gentle for sensitive skin and ensures the bar stays long-lasting.
My Plastic-Free Standard
My commitment to sustainability goes beyond just the product. From using sturdy corrugated boxes to paper-based confetti and tape, I ensure every part of your package is biodegradable or reusable. Even my labels are printed on recycled paper, keeping the design simple and earthy. I avoid plastic in every form, right down to the tape used to seal your shipment.

I also prioritize local sourcing to reduce my carbon footprint. Whether it is the glass jars for body butters or the metal tins for my balms, every choice is made to minimize waste.
