The WeMove Community: Our Theatre Journey

If you step into our Jayanagar studio, you won't find a sterile classroom. You'll see red oxide floors, worn-in theatre posters, and people working out scripts long before the lights go up at Ranga Shankara. It's where our rehearsals turn into friendships, and where 'acting is reacting' stops being a theory and starts being your daily practice.

WeMove Theatre began in 2008 with a simple realization: theatre needs a home. We aren't just a production house; we are a community of storytellers who believe that an ekanka (one-act play) can hold more truth than a three-hour blockbuster. Our studio in Jayanagar acts as the heart of this. Whether it is our Big Step Intensive participants rehearsing late into the evening or kids from our First Leaf program building their first stage characters, the space is always alive.

Over the last 18 years, we have pushed to make the Bangalore rangabhoomi (theatre world) more accessible. We stage stories like 'By2Coffee' and 'Who Killed Agatha?' not just to entertain, but to start conversations. Our work extends beyond the stage into corporate outreach and deep-dive mentorship, ensuring that the craft of acting remains honest and grounded.

We don't do filler workshops. Every session, whether it is a 1-on-1 mentorship with me or a group workshop on stagecraft, is designed to help you drop the pretenses and find your real voice.
