We translate abstract concepts into physical environments, using light, texture, and storytelling to create spaces that visitors do not just walk through, but feel.

Our interpretation of 'Gothilicious' for Asian Paints ColourNext, a spatial experience designed to evoke powerful emotions. We used woven fabric surfaces, stylized tattoo art, and a moody palette to translate the complex, sensual, and confident persona of contemporary Goth culture into a tangible narrative.

For the 'Indofuturism' theme, we created a gallery of the surreal. This installation juxtaposes traditional Indian motifs with retro-futuristic imagery, using backlit portraits and layered materials to build a unique visual culture. It demonstrates our process of creating hybrid narratives through spatial design.

An installation for the 'Artify' trend, exploring the metaverse and digital art consumption. We designed a forest of screens, each displaying a unique NFT, creating an overwhelming and immersive experience that questions the nature of a gallery in the digital age.

This installation for the 'Solo Commerce' trend visualizes the interconnected yet fragmented nature of the gig economy. We used suspended, puzzle-like blocks with vibrant illustrations to represent the freedom, flexibility, and network-driven lifestyle of modern entrepreneurs.

To represent the 'Goblin Mode' trend, we designed a space that celebrates informal indulgence. Split screens show characters in relaxed, authentic moments, while hand-tufted textures and crochet installations in the physical space create a whimsical, cocooned sense of comfort.

This walkthrough experience for 'Silver Escapade' blurs time. By mixing ornate, period-inspired columns with sparse modern forms and reflective surfaces, we created a dream-like colonnade that places the viewer at the intersection of past, present, and future.

An immersive sonic and visual experience capturing the mystery of the sea. We used custom-woven textile panels, light, and sound to create an abstracted, poetic expression of the deep, inviting viewers to feel the awe and vulnerability of the underwater realm.

A detail of the 'Soil' installation, where the texture itself becomes the narrative. The debossed text and raw, earthy surface are designed to be a sensorial experience, communicating the theme's essence through touch and sight before it is even read.

A mood board for the 'We/Us' trend, focusing on ungendering spaces. The collection of bold fabrics, playful objects, and an eye motif with a mirrored center reflects a confident, liberated, and adventurous spirit, showing our process of material curation.

This material board for the 'Hope You're Well' trend explores empathy and wellbeing through sensory objects. Soft textures, knitted forms, and organic shapes come together to communicate a feeling of comfort and emotional healing.

About Immersive Exhibition & Spatial Design

Our process for immersive spatial design is never static. We start by deconstructing the core theme, then map out the sensory journey for the viewer—how light hits a specific texture, where the soundscape peaks, and how the physical path guides the narrative. Whether it is an exhibition for a brand like Asian Paints or a site-specific installation, we ensure that every material choice, from raw soil to reflective metal, serves the story.

At Wari Watai, we believe spatial design is an act of translation. We take the intangible—a trend, a feeling, a brand philosophy—and encode it into the physical landscape.

Our Process

We do not rely on fixed blueprints. Instead, we allow the narrative to dictate the form. For our work with ColourNext, this meant juxtaposing raw, earthy textures against high-tech lighting to represent the blend of past and future. We work across three primary dimensions:

  • Materiality: Every surface is a communication tool. We use materials not just for structure, but for their emotional weight. A wall of woven fabric creates warmth and intimacy, while metallic finishes push the viewer toward a feeling of future-facing coldness.
  • Sensory Architecture: We design for all senses. It is not just about what the eyes see. We integrate soundscapes, specific tactile finishes, and lighting rhythms to control the pace of the viewer’s experience.
  • Spatial Flow: The physical path matters. We choreograph the movement through the space to ensure the narrative unfolds with a clear beginning, middle, and climax.

If you are looking to create an experience, not just a display, we are ready to collaborate. We bring the same rigor to corporate exhibitions as we do to art installations, ensuring your brand story is felt, not just read. We invite you to explore the intersection of art and commerce with us.
