Narrative-Driven Exhibition and Event Design
We design immersive experiences that turn exhibitions into dialogues. By blending structural planning with art, we create spaces that linger in the memory.
A behind-the-scenes glimpse of our setup for the 'Taqiya Qalaam' exhibition at Delhi Contemporary Art Week. This video shows the meticulous process of installation, from placing large sculptures to the final touches of lighting and arrangement.
Here, one of our founders, Amrita Guha, is seen engaging with visitors at our curated exhibition. We believe in creating a dialogue, sharing the stories behind the art and design to enrich the viewer's experience.
A moment of discovery at our exhibition. We design spaces that invite curiosity, like this antique cabinet filled with smaller artworks and objects, encouraging visitors to look closer and engage with the narrative on an intimate level.
Our curated spaces are designed to be lived in, not just observed. Here, visitors relax and converse, demonstrating how we successfully create a comfortable and social atmosphere even within a formal gallery setting.
Art should be approachable and even playful. This whimsical installation, featuring a bathtub in a gallery setting, was a showstopper at our exhibition, inviting interaction and breaking down the intimidating aura of a typical art show.
This video documents the story behind our popular bathtub installation for the 'Taqiya Qalaam' show. It reveals the conceptual thought, the behind-the-scenes setup, and the joyful interactions it inspired, wrapping up a successful event.
A walkthrough of the 'Taqiya Qalaam' exhibition, showcasing the diverse range of curated art and objects. The lighting, placement, and flow were all carefully designed to create distinct moods and moments of discovery for visitors.
About this collection
Our process for exhibition design starts long before the opening day, often with a structural audit of the venue. For our recent Delhi Contemporary Art Week showcase at Bikaner House, this meant coordinating technical lighting, reinforcing walls for heavy sculptures, and ensuring every sightline was considered. We treat the venue as a blank canvas where the interior layout guides the visitor through a deliberate sequence of discovery, rather than just placing objects on pedestals.
When we arrange an exhibition, we ask one question: how does the space speak to the object? A static display rarely captures the soul of the work. Instead, we look at the flow of movement, the interplay of light, and the emotional arc the visitor experiences as they walk through the room. Whether it is a solo show or a multi-artist event, we handle the end-to-end design—from the initial floor plan and circulation design to the final installation supervision.
Our work often involves structural interventions. We have reinforced ceilings to hold complex suspensions and designed custom lighting rigs to ensure that every artifact is illuminated to reveal its texture and provenance, not just its surface. We also believe in breaking the fourth wall of the gallery, creating intimate pockets where visitors can sit, converse, or simply linger. This was central to our Bikaner House project, where we balanced high-volume traffic with moments of private reflection. We partner with you to align your vision with practical constraints, ensuring that the final build is not only visually arresting but technically sound, logistics-ready, and deeply resonant.
Untitled Design
We are Amrita and Joya, and we believe a space is only as good as the conversation it sparks. When we design an exhibition or an event, we are not just styling a room; we are choreographing an experience that invites the visitor to step into a story, allowing the art to hold the stage.
