My Creative Space and Artistic Process
A glimpse into where the work happens. My desk is where I trade digital tools for ink and paper, finding clarity in the process of drawing.
This is my creative space. It's a simple setup with my drawing board, sketchbooks, and tools. This is where I spend my nights working, thinking, and getting lost in the process of making art.
About My Creative Space & Style
I spend most of my nights right here. It is a simple setup, but the drawing board and the pile of used sketchbooks are where I process everything. If you are curious about my technique or just want to chat about finding your own creative rhythm, this is where it starts.
My workspace is where the transition from digital to traditional art happens. I found myself relying too much on digital tools a few years ago, and I had to go back to ink on paper to feel grounded again. This desk is where I keep that promise to myself.
You will notice a lot of markers, pens, and sketchbooks scattered around. I believe the magic of art is in the imperfections. When I am working on custom illustrations or preparing for a workshop, I start here, on this board. It is not a sterile studio. It is a space where mistakes become ideas.
If you are looking to understand my style, it is rooted in this raw, honest process. Whether I am preparing for a talk at Rachana Sansad or sketching the streets of Mumbai, the foundation is always this: consistent practice.
I think of these sketchbooks as an extension of my memory. They hold the messy, unpolished thoughts that lead to better final designs. When you hire me for a custom illustration or a live sketching gig, you are not just getting a final file. You are getting the benefit of this daily, messy practice that keeps my ideas fresh and human.
I am based in Mumbai, but I work with clients and students across India. Whether you want to discuss a live sketching project, join a workshop, or just get a portfolio review, feel free to reach out. I keep things real, direct, and focused on the craft rather than the marketing fluff.

I’m Shirish. I work out of this studio, keeping things analog in a digital world. Drawing is how I connect with myself, and I’m always happy to share that process with you.
