Learn Authentic Garba Online: Live Virtual Workshops
Whether you are in Mumbai or halfway across the world, join my virtual Garba sessions. We focus on traditional technique, not just steps, so you can dance with confidence from your own living room.
So excited to take Garba to Singapore. This poster announces four workshops I taught across the city. It's a dream come true to share my passion for our folk dance with the global Gujarati community.
This is a choreography snippet for one of my online workshops. It shows how you can learn detailed and graceful Garba routines from the comfort of your home, with clear instructions and a focus on authentic style.
About Learn From Anywhere: Online & Global Workshops
Online learning can be intimidating, but I keep it simple by mirroring every movement so you can follow along naturally. I break down the footwork and hand gestures as if you were standing right in front of me in the studio, ensuring you nail the posture and timing regardless of the screen between us.
Whether you are joining from a living room in Mumbai or halfway across the world, my virtual sessions are designed to replicate the energy of an in-person class. We focus on the 'how' rather than just the 'what' of Garba.
What to Expect in Virtual Sessions
- Mirroring Technique: I teach using a mirrored view so you do not have to mentally flip my movements. You just follow what you see.
- Step-by-Step Breakdown: We tackle complex routines like Vrundavan and Gaamthi steps by breaking them down into manageable, repeatable phrases.
- Interactive Sessions: These are live Zoom calls, not pre-recorded lessons. You get real-time feedback and can ask questions during the session.
- Recording Access: If you miss a detail or want to practice later, I provide access to the class recording for 48 hours.
Why Go Online?
Many of my students worry about space constraints or not getting individual attention. My choreography is specifically modified to work in smaller home spaces without losing the essence of the folk dance. You get the same authentic experience, the same focus on cultural roots, and the same high-energy vibe that I bring to my physical workshops in Andheri or Ghatkopar. It is all about creating a space where you feel comfortable to learn and let go, koi awkwardness nai.
