Authentic Garba Choreography and Folk Dance Mastery
Welcome to my corner of the dance floor. This collection showcases the energy, technique, and raw joy of Garba that we dive into in every workshop and performance.
This performance to Kaviraj Aditya Gadhvi's 'Rang Bhini Radha' is one of my all-time favorites. It captures the power and artistry of traditional folk Garba, complete with swords and high-energy movements. This is the kind of authentic expression I bring to my choreography.
The feeling of dancing on the big stage at NESCO's Rangilo Re is just electric. This clip shows how a simple twirl can become a full-on experience, connecting with a huge crowd through the power of Garba. This is the energy we build towards for Navratri.
This is more than just dance, it's how we express pure joy. This point-of-view shot from one of my Vrundavan Dakla workshops in Mumbai shows you exactly what it feels like to be in the middle of the action, surrounded by incredible energy.
I love creating and performing couple Garba routines that tell a story. This choreography to "Manda Lidha Mohi Raj" is a perfect example of the vibrant, coordinated, and joyful partner work we explore in my gaamthi-style workshops.
Want to learn how to do a barrel or 'palti' for Navratri? This short tutorial breaks down the technique for this impressive move, showing you how I teach complex spins and jumps in a simple, step-by-step way so you can master them with confidence.
I find folk rhythms everywhere, even in modern tracks like "Run It Up" by Hanumankind. This was a spontaneous session where I just had to express that cultural crossover through Garba. It shows how versatile and adaptive our folk dance can be.
You can learn with me from anywhere in the world. This is a glimpse of the choreography for one of my online workshops, showing that you can get the full, energetic experience right from your home.
About Featured
My approach is simple, we focus on the raw energy of Vrundavan and Prachin styles rather than just memorizing steps. I break down the mechanics of barrels, spins, and jumps so you can master the technique while actually having fun with the rhythm, koi awkwardness nai.
Garba is more than a dance to me, it is a way to celebrate our culture. Whether you are prepping for a high-energy night at Nesco or just want to feel the beat, my sessions are designed to move you past the basics. We cover everything from the gaamthi (village-style) steps to the more complex Vrundavan and Ahmedabadi routines.
I offer a few different ways to learn. If you are in Mumbai, I hold regular sessions in Andheri West and Ghatkopar, where we focus on stamina and perfecting those spins. For those who want to master specific mechanics like barrels and jumps, my technical intensives break down the physics of movement so you stop feeling dizzy and start nailing your spotting.
If you are not in the city or just prefer to learn from home, I run live virtual workshops that modify the choreography for smaller spaces. You get the same energy and the same focus on the roots, just via Zoom. My goal is for you to walk away not just knowing the choreography, but feeling that connection to the music, or as we say, finding the priceless pearl of your soul.
