Luxury Bridal & Ethnic Couture Styling
I view every bridal ensemble as a canvas for storytelling. My work is about weaving together opulent fabrics, intricate craftsmanship, and heritage aesthetics to create a look of modern royalty.
For this saree campaign, I created a look of royal elegance. The model is styled in a rich magenta Banarasi silk saree, complemented by a traditional 'gajra' headpiece and temple jewelry, seated on a swing to evoke a sense of timeless grace.
A different angle from the same saree campaign, this shot highlights the drape and texture of the silk. The addition of a sleek gold belt cinches the waist, adding a modern touch to the traditional ensemble, showcasing versatile styling.
This look for a designer campaign pairs a gold zari brocade skirt with a hand-embroidered black velvet blouse. My styling, including the flowing organza dupatta, was intended to create a dramatic and luxurious black-and-gold ensemble.
For this Navratri special campaign, I styled a traditional Ghagra Choli with authentic silver jewelry against a rustic red wall. The concept was to celebrate the festive spirit with a look that is both powerful and deeply rooted in cultural heritage.
This film captures the essence of a Navratri campaign, showcasing the flow and detail of the traditional attire. My creative direction focused on creating a celebratory and divine mood, with shots of the model by the ghats of Varanasi.
A dynamic shot from a Navratri campaign, capturing the model in a dance-like pose. The flowing pink lehenga, adorned with a floral garland, is styled to convey movement, joy, and the vibrant energy of the festival.
A serene moment from a festive campaign, with the model seated on ancient steps. The styling combines a traditional lehenga with heavy silver anklets and bangles, creating a look that feels both regal and grounded.
This fashion film for a bridal couture brand showcases a magnificent red lehenga. My creative direction focused on capturing the intricate embroidery and the bride's graceful movements against a heritage backdrop, telling a story of modern royalty.
A behind-the-scenes glimpse into a bridal shoot set in a haveli. The styling for this look involved a rich red and green lehenga, paired with a maang tikka and nath, creating a classic and timeless bridal portrait.
This campaign film for a couture designer highlights a stunning silver-grey lehenga with a dramatic cape. The styling, including the ruby and diamond jewelry, was designed to create a look of modern, glamorous sophistication for a cocktail or reception event.
About Luxury Bridal & Ethnic Couture
In this space, styling is about the architecture of the drape and how it moves under the lens. When I approach a bridal lehenga or a heritage saree, I focus on the 'fall' and the interplay of jewelry—finding the exact balance between heavy embroidery and a sleek dupatta drape—to ensure the final look feels timeless rather than merely trending.
For me, bridal and ethnic couture is a language of tradition. When I approach a project, whether it is for a high-fashion couture campaign or a private bride, I analyze the fabric’s history. A handwoven Banarasi silk has a different weight and requirement than a contemporary organza lehenga. I work intimately with the tailoring—pinning, steaming, and adjusting every pleat—because the difference between a good look and a regal portrait is often a matter of millimeters.
My process involves a deep dive into the narrative of the garment. I look for the soul of the piece, deciding if it calls for minimalist jewelry to let the craftsmanship shine, or if it needs the maximalist impact of heavy vintage gold. This is not just about placing clothes on a model; it is about creative direction. I guide the pose, the lighting interaction with the metallic threads, and the mood of the set to evoke a sense of modern grace. Whether you are seeking a look for a high-octane reception or a traditional ceremony, my approach balances the weight of heritage with the sleekness of current-day aesthetics.
