Getting ready for a traditional South Indian wedding involves more than just aesthetics; it is about handling heavy fabrics and enduring long rituals. My signature style, Kesh n Vastrakala, focuses on the synergy of your attire and your appearance. I prioritize long-wear, sweat-resistant HD makeup using brands like MAC and Kryolan, which are tested for long durations under heavy ritual lighting and fires.
For hairstyling, I understand that many brides worry about thin hair for traditional buns or braids. My sulabha vidhana, or easy method, involves using high-quality synthetic hair extensions to add natural-looking volume, ensuring your braids or flower arrangements look full and grand. When it comes to saree draping, especially for heavy silk Kanjeevarams, I use a box-fold technique that is pinned with industrial-strength stability so you can sit, stand, and move comfortably during your Muhurtham without worrying about your pallu slipping.
