Draping a saree is an art, whether it is a heavy silk Kanjeevaram or a lightweight designer piece. My goal is to make the process ashte simple for you, ensuring your pleats are perfect and secure so you can enjoy your event with confidence.

A close-up look at creating perfect saree pleats. This is a crucial step in saree draping to ensure a slim and elegant silhouette. Even for heavy silk sarees, I make the process look effortless.

The graceful fall of a perfectly draped Kanjeevaram saree. The beauty of the saree is enhanced when the pleats are even and the pallu is set just right, creating a look of timeless elegance.

The beauty of a saree is in its drape. Here, I am creating perfect pleats for a heavy bridal saree, ensuring it looks stunning from every angle. The final twirl shows the beautiful flow of the fabric.

About this collection

A perfect drape starts with the right foundation. I use a signature box-fold technique to ensure your pleats are crisp and your pallu stays secure all day, whether you are wearing heavy silk or delicate chiffon. This approach keeps you comfortable throughout your ceremonies without needing constant adjustments or fear of the saree slipping.

Saree draping is an essential part of the 16 Shringaras, yet it often becomes a source of stress on a busy day. Whether you are managing a heavy Kanjeevaram for a Muhurtham or need a lightweight, elegant look for a reception, the technique changes entirely. My method focuses on two things: security and silhouette.

The Box-Fold Technique

For traditional silk sarees, I use a specific box-fold process. This creates flat, even pleats that sit properly at the waist, giving you a slimmer, more refined profile. It also allows the fabric to move with you, not against you.

Industrial-Strength Stability

No one wants to worry about their pallu falling during a pooja or a photo session. I use industrial-strength pinning, which is invisible but incredibly secure. You can walk, sit, and dance with the confidence that everything will stay exactly where it was pinned.

Pre-Pleating vs. On-Spot

If you are short on time, my pre-pleating service is a lifesaver. I steam iron and set the pleats at my studio in Rajajinagar, so you can wear the saree in under five minutes. For those who prefer an on-spot drape, I travel to venues across Bengaluru, ensuring the process is handled with precision and speed. Ashte simple.
