About Makeup, Styling & Cultural Arts Classes
Art isn’t just decoration for me – it’s devotion. What I teach blends styling with tradition, so you don’t just look good, you feel rooted. My journey began in Kodagu, but it’s my husband’s family who really sparked my passion for cultural arts.
Saree Draping Made Easy
I break down saree draping step-by-step, using sulabha vidhana (easy method). We cover everything:
- Get crisp pleats for South Indian bridal saree draping, including Nerige / Kosuvam (front pleats)
- Explore Madisaar, North Indian, fusion, and cancan styles
- Real talk for plus-size saree styling tips, especially with heavy silks – hiding tummy, adding extra pleats for confidence
- Learn saree folding and storage methods so your sarees stay beautiful
Hairstyling – Classic Skills & Creative Twists
My masterclasses help you nail bridal curls, rose buns, and all kinds of braids. I also show pro hacks for clean finishes and teach creative hair art, like my Freedom Wings phoenix style.
More Than Looks – It’s Culture
I explain the meaning behind every adornment, from Shodasha Shringaras (16 ways of getting ready) to making homemade Kumkum for saubhagya (marital bliss). You’ll learn about floral hair accessories like rose Vani and moggu jade for kids.
Who Can Join?
Anyone who wants to learn – whether you’re an aspiring artist or just want to get ready for festivals, my classes welcome all. Ashte simple (It’s that simple).

My Story
Namaskara, Vidya here. Born in Kodagu, I found my true calling after joining the Srinidhi kutumba—four generations deep in tradition and books. Sanatana Dharma, rituals, and devotion shape my every day. With my husband and son, I mix art and pooja, believing a bridal look is as sacred as any ritual. Sharing tips, stories, festival meanings—these are my joys. Discipline and peace, that’s what rituals give. I share what I live.
