About this collection
When I draft your bridal design, it is not just about patterns. We sit together to decide which moments matter most—be it your varmala, a doli, or a personal symbol that tells your specific story. This takes about 5 to 7 hours, and I use only fresh, natural Sojat henna to make sure that story stands out in a rich, dark stain that lasts for your big day.
How We Build Your Bridal Story
Every bridal design is a collaborative process. We start by discussing the elements you want to include. Whether it is your partner's portrait, a specific scene from your roka, the gathbandhan, or traditional motifs like elephants and peacocks, I map these out on your hands and arms.
My goal is to balance the complexity of the narrative with the flow of the design. We fill the spaces between these custom figures with traditional Indian patterns, cut-work, or floral trails to ensure the final look is dense, cohesive, and traditional.
Technical Details & Process
- Henna Quality: I mix my own Sojat henna paste 24 to 48 hours before your event. This ensures the stain is deep and rich, without any chemicals.
- Application: For full-arm bridal work, expect to sit for at least 5 to 7 hours. I handle all the intricate, personalized figures personally, while my senior team members assist with the repetitive background patterns to keep the process moving efficiently.
- Aftercare: I apply a lemon-sugar sealant once the design is set. This helps the henna stick longer and darken beautifully.
Travelling for Your Big Day
While my studio is in Ghatkopar, I frequently travel across Mumbai and pan-India for destination weddings. If you are planning an outstation wedding, my team and I arrive prepared with everything we need. We are used to early morning starts and long days, so you do not have to worry about the logistics—just sit back, relax, and let the art begin.
