About Elaborate Bridal Narratives

Creating these narrative designs requires intense focus, so I always set aside a full 8 to 10 hours for these sessions. Because I use 100% natural, home-mixed henna, it is important to plan your application at least 24 hours before your main event to allow the colour to develop its full, deep stain.

Your wedding Mehendi is more than just patterns; it is a visual storytelling of your union. In these narrative designs, I go beyond traditional paisleys to incorporate specific milestones: the varmala exchange, your Kanyadan, or even custom portraits of you and your partner.

I work in a dense, traditional Bharwa style, which allows me to weave in these miniature scenes without losing the flow of the design. Whether it is a Shiv-Parvati portrait or a specific recreation of your proposal, every figure is drawn freehand with precision.

The Process of Narrative Mehendi

  • Consultation: We discuss the specific scenes or milestones you want to include in your design.
  • Style: I use 3D shading and dense fillers to make the figures stand out against the traditional backdrop.
  • Materials: Only my chemical-free, natural henna mix is used to ensure the final result is a rich, dark maroon stain that lasts.

These designs are a labour of love. My goal is for your hands to tell a story that feels entirely yours, grounded in the traditions we hold dear. Whether you are in Mumbai or elsewhere in India, I am happy to travel to your venue to create this for you.
